Liana and Chris met while working together at a restaurant located in Rock Hill, South Carolina. They hit it off almost instantly and began dating in late September of 2015. Over the next few years, their love grew strong as they traveled, attending music festivals, and made all their decisions in life together. When Chris asked Liana to marry him, it seemed only fitting that they be married on September 28, 2019, the four year anniversary of when they began dating. This September day in Charleston was covered in lots of sunlight, filled with family and friends, and full of lots of love between these two.
Liana’s details and colors for the wedding were inspired by fall and its rich colors.
Her mixtures of red and green created a vibrant backdrop for her day and captured the feeling of September.
Liana selected a lace gown from the Charlotte based shop Ladies of Lineage. The gown perfectly completed the timeless feel of her Charleston setting and looked stunning paired with her florals and rich bridesmaid’s dresses.
Chris’s attire was carefully combined from Men’s Warehouse, Express, and Frye. For his look, he wanted to have a unique style that complemented his taste while also showing off the colors of the day. The rich burgundy pants served as a unique focal point for the day’s attire, and I loved the originality!
Wingate’s famous oak tree served as the most beautiful backdrop for Liana and Chris’s ceremony. In front of family and friends, they promised to love each other always, strive to be selfless, and always have strong communication between each other.
After a stunning rose petal exit and fun with the bridal party, Chris, Liana, and I headed into bride and groom portraits. This time is always a favorite of mine because I get a front row seat to watching people realize they’re married. This time was filled with sweet moments and catching up on the day with each other, plus a whole lot of sunset.
The rest of the night was filled with a lot of dancing, fun, and catching up with relatives. Chris and Liana’s guests were treated to a barbecue dinner, a mirror photo booth, and drinks to keep them refreshed during the warm fall night.
Having the privilege of capturing people beginning their married lives together is always special, but it’s a little extra special getting to watch two people you’ve known for several years and who have become friends. Liana and Chris’s day was filled with love, fun, and all the sweet moments they hoped for. Congrats to the stunning Mr. and Mrs. Smith!
