Feminine Opulence Styled Shoot

When choosing styled shoots, I think about various elements from design, the leaders, and what I’ll be able to take away from it. When looking over the roster for styled shoots being hosted at The Hybrid Collective, I knew Sophie Kaye’s was one I had to attend. I’ve followed Sophie on social media for years and absolutely adore her editorial work and skill with posing. I quickly added my name to Sophie’s list and eagerly awaited the styled session in Salt Lake City.

Sophie’s shoot was hosted at The Commercial Club Venue in downtown Salt Lake. Inspired by Bridgerton and the idea of “Feminine Opulence”, Sophie’s set up was all things pastel, whimsical, and airy. Designed by Rachael Ellen Events, each group had the opportunity to photograph the table scape, stationary, and models in this beautiful historic ballroom. Sophie offered assistance with posing and feedback on our direction and I loved having the opportunity to learn new creative ways to put couples together. This shoot left me feeling inspired for spring and gorgeous nights filled with flowers and couples dancing under the stars.
