August and Jess | Charleston, SC

August and I met during our high school years in French class. He has a level of authenticity about him that I always admired, so I was so thrilled for him and Jess when I heard about their engagement. Having just moved to the West Ashley area of Charleston last summer, they wanted their engagement portraits to celebrate their new home, their love story, and of course their dog, Huck. I met Jess and August in Colonial Lake Park and spent this warm summer evening walking with them all around downtown Charleston. It was so sweet to catch up with August after all these years and to get to know Jess more as we talked careers, wedding plans, and dogs. I can’t wait to celebrate these two so soon at their wedding weekend in Beaufort, South Carolina!
