Brianna and Hall | Outer Banks, NC

Brianna and I first met through our church life-group not long after I moved to Charlotte several years ago. I remember being struck by her kindness, her calmness, and her abundant love for the Lord. Fast forward to 2022, and I’m traveling to the Outer Banks to capture her engagement photos with her fiance, Hall. Growing up in South Carolina, I have been very accustomed to most beaches being two to three hours away. Having this in mind, the six hour drive from Charlotte to the coast was a completely new experience for me. When I arrived the night before, I caught up with Brianna over dinner and chatted about all her plans for her upcoming Virginia Beach wedding. The next morning, the three of us met bright and early at the Kitty Hawk Pier to capture the gorgeous sunrise on the beach. Brianna and Hall were full of laughs and were completely down for adventuring into the water. I could tell they are the best of friends and both have a selfless heart. Watching someone you know fall in love and meet their person is the absolute sweetest and I was so glad to be the one to photograph these special moments. Getting to travel to a new place to capture an old friend’s milestone was truly so special to me and I look back on this weekend as one of my favorites from last year.
