Holiday Home Tour

Christmas time–it truly is the most magical time of the year.  I grew up loving holiday traditions with my family, like buying new ornaments, driving through Christmas lights, and waiting for presents on Christmas morning.  Since college, I’ve begun forming my own traditions, including sharing my holiday decor with social media.  While I grew up with a red and green Christmas, there’s just something magical about a whimsical pastel aesthetic. I’ve spent the past few years collecting my pieces from Anthropologie, Target, and Michaels, and I’m excited to give you guys a break down of where everything is from.  I am by no means an influencer, but I hope my little holiday home can bring you some inspiration and joy this season.

 

In college I had a white Christmas tree, but last year I officially made the switch to a flocked one like I’ve wanted to for years, and guys I absolutely LOVE it!  This six-footer is actually from Walmart, and is a great quality for the price.  It sheds like crazy, but the look is well worth it.

When asked my love language, I’d probably say bottle brush trees.  I’ve collected these bad boys from all over, but most of them have come from Target!  All the little pink ones you’ll see throughout the post are from Target’s dollar section a few years back, and they continue to come out with new ones that are pretty similar every year.

Anthro pillows, they’re just a vibe.  This one I got two years ago and it was part of a partnership collection with Mr. Boddington’s Studio.  All of the artificial flowers and nick-naks here are from Michaels.

When we were kids, mom used to take us to Hallmark every year to pick out a new ornament for our tree.  As an adult, I’ve kept that tradition going with the help of Anthro and Target.  From travel themes, to felt reindeer, to stacks of hand-painted glass books, I love how this collection of ornaments is whimsical yet cohesive.  Sitting next to the tree always feels so cozy, and I love how each ornament reminds me of a different place or time.

I’ve always loved the idea of the Christmas villages, but so many of them are in a price point that wasn’t my style.  These little houses came from Target’s dollar section, and they had very similar one’s this year!  Hipster Santa is also from Target, and he has been an apartment favorite since 2017.

I love baking at Christmas time, so I can’t help but add a little holiday whimsy to the kitchen!  And just in time for the holidays, our new velvet barstools just came in!  These can be found on Amazon and on Wayfair.

As you’ve figured out by now, it’s no secret that I love Anthropologie.  I’ve accumulated a vast collection of Christmas mugs and dishtowels from there over the years, and they’re some of my favorite things.

Several years back I saw a friend use this around the door-frame hack for Christmas cards, and I absolutely loved it!  You start by hanging some twine around the door frame, layering a garland on top, and then using tiny clothespins to hang the cards.  It always looks so festive and I’ve really enjoyed hanging cards this way!

Surprise surprise; the stockings are Anthro!  I’ve loved mixing these colors and textures over the years and find them so bright and cheerful!

In my bedroom, I have a small white tree (also from Walmart) that I have more specific ornaments on, peep the Harry Potter ornament.  Most of the decor in my room sticks with a color scheme of pinks, whites, and golds, and it’s so fun to walk into at night.
