Emily and Steve’s wedding was the most perfect Asheville day. The beginning of October brought colorful leaves and fall temperatures to the mountains that made everyone excited for the season. My second shooter and I met Emily and her girls at their getting ready cabin that overlooked the mountains early that morning, and got to hang out with her bridal crew while they prepared for the day. After awhile, we all headed down the mountain to the couple’s venue: The Farm-A Gathering Place. I was immediately struck by the beauty of the venue and continued to be impressed with the precautions they had taken to ensure everyone’s safety from COVID.
Following detail photos, I got to spend some time photographing Emily and her crew before heading over to see Steve and his guys at what the venue calls The Chicken Chapel. This bridal party was the most fun and supportive of the bride and groom and honestly felt like one big family. Their ceremony took place under the gazebo next to horse-filled fields. One of the most special parts of the day was getting to see Steve’s daughters serve as their flower girls. I loved seeing the girl’s excitement for the event and know this will be a cherished memory for their family. Following the ceremony, Emily and Steve and I headed out to capture their bride and groom portraits at sunset. Everything about their day seemed enjoyed, from bridal party photos, to their family style dinner, to the sweet toasts given by family and friends. This day was such a joy to be a part of and I’m so thankful to Emily and Steve for letting me capture it for them. Mr and Mrs McClenny, I can’t wait to see what comes next for you and to continue supporting you through your marriage!
