I often hear stories of people feeling defeated after months and/or years of using dating apps. While they often prove successful, most people’s testimonies are of painful first dates and discouragement before they finally cross the finish line. When talking about how she met Sean, Allison described getting closer and closer to giving up on the apps, that is until she met Sean. On our inquiry call, Allison described how it didn’t take long for her to fall for Sean, and Sean says the exact same about Allison. Flash forward to November 5th, 2021, and it’s time for these two to say I-Do.
When planning their wedding, Sean and Allison wanted to prioritize a calm morning with their immediate family and best friends. Allison rented the beautiful loft above the Kenna Kunijo salon for her and her besties to get ready in, and it made the perfect backdrop for detail photos and champagne clinks. Soon after the dress and jewelry were on, Allison and I headed just down the street next to Byron’s for her first look with Sean. Tears were shed, hugs were had, and lots of giggles were shared. You ever spend time around people who just love being together? That’s Allison and Sean. We spent the next hour photographing the two of them around South End before grabbing their bridal crew for photos too. Camden Street has many famous Charlotte sights including the confetti heart wall which made for the most iconic Queen City wedding portraits. Before we knew it, it was time for the ceremony.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, the gals behind the Springvine florals are absolute artists. They took the industrial space of Byron’s and made it feel whimsical and light. Allison made a teary walk down the aisle to Sean where they then exchanged handwritten vows. I remember being struck by each of them listing how caring the other was, and how much they trusted each other entirely with the future. Safe to say, you could hear plenty of sniffles in the crowd. The rest of the evening had one priority: dancing. Allison traded her heels for her dancing shoes and they pulled their guests to the floor to start the party. True to each of their characters, Sean and Allison took the time to sincerely greet, hug, and thank each guest at their wedding for being there, once again demonstrating how well they love their people. To the Bradys, you are an excellent example of how to love your partner and how to love your friends and family, and I truly always smile whenever I relive your day through your photos. I hope they make you smile for all the years to come as well!
A massive thank you to all the vendors who made this the most perfect fall wedding day.
