Let me tell y’all about Hannah and Matt. This April day had the most perfect weather and I had the best time exploring a venue that was new to me. If you’re not familiar with Tipsy Goat Estate, this house’s bricks date back to the pre-Civil War era and the back of the house still has its original wood from the 1820s. Named The Robertson House, this home serves as one of York County, South Carolina’s oldest pieces of historical architecture. The current owner, a dentist from Charlotte, bought the home in 2015 and named it Tipsy Goat Estate in honor of the furry friends who call the property home. All of this and the incredible design of the inside of the home made Hannah and Matt fall instantly in love with the property and they knew it would be the perfect spot for their wedding day. Hannah and her bridesmaids got ready at the estate before heading to the church to meet Matt and their families for the ceremony. This was my first time photographing a Catholic ceremony! It felt really special to capture Hannah and Matt’s faith that holds a special place in their lives. After the ceremony, these two headed back to the estate with their crew for photos, dancing, games, and a whole lot of fun with their families. Matt and Hannah had emphasized that they wanted their reception to feel like a elevated tailgate, and that was exactly how it felt! The dance floor stayed open, the lawn games where always in use, and the family from out of town caught up with friends over drinks. I had so much fun capturing the day for these two and celebrating their love for each other. Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Forster!
