Mr. and Mrs. Stephens | Cedar Creek Ranch

I first met Torri during my time teaching elementary school in Fort Mill, South Carolina. I have fond memories of passing her in the hallway and her saying that someday soon she’d be contacting me for engagement and wedding photos. A couple of years later, Eric popped the big question and wedding plans were officially underway! Fast forward to the fall of 2022 and the autumnal wedding of Torri’s dream was finally coming true. This October day was full of color, emotion, and a whole lot of fun. Torri kicked off her day by getting ready with her mom, sisters, and all of her bridesmaids before having a first look with her sweet dad. During her first look with Eric, they smiled and giggled and talked about how they couldn’t believe the day was finally here. Eric and Torri’s bridal party knew how to celebrate big and kept the fun rolling through all the photos with the bride and groom. Before long, it was time for the walk down the aisle!

One of my favorite things at weddings is when couples choose to write their own vows to each other. I love the personal stories, the specific promises, and the intentional words. Torri and Eric’s vows were all of the above. Their guests laughed and shed a few happy tears as these two best friends pledged their lives to each other. As bubbles filled the air, Eric and Torri walked hand and hand up the aisle as husband and wife. The cocktail hour was full of drinks, hugs, and laughter as the bride and groom greeted their guests and celebrated with all their loved ones. Torri and Eric shared their first dance on the patio before proceeding under the tent for dinner and dancing. This crowd knew how to party and kept it going with wigs, glow sticks, and high energy. Before heading to their send off, Torri and Eric shared a private last dance where all the tears flowed as it finally hit them that they were married at last. Having watch Eric and Torri grow and love each other hard over the past four years, I was so thankful to have been part of this special day as they celebrated the beginning of their next chapter.
