You’ll have a hard time finding people more intentional than Rachel and Scott. After meeting at a conference in Atlanta, dating long distance, and moving twice, these two finally look their walk down the aisle last October at Alexander Homestead here in Charlotte. Every detail of this day had thought put into it, from Rachel’s details, to her dress, to the vows. After connecting on a mutual gravitation toward blush and sage, Rachel and Scott chose the wedding colors that would be focal points for the formal wear and the stationary. These pastels brought a bright pop to this gorgeous fall day and complemented the beautiful florals that were in bloom all around the garden.
Guests were greeted with drinks and sunshine as they arrived to the ceremony sight. Before long, the bridal party made their way down the aisle and Scott stood ready to see his bride. Their first glimpse of each other was full of happy tears and smiles. After words from their pastor, Scott and Rachel exchanged their handwritten vows in front of friends and family. In addition, they also incorporated their families through a unity ceremony to symbolize not only the two of them coming together, but their families joining together as well. After making their way back up the aisle as husband and wife, Rachel and Scott took time to get photos with their family, bridal party, and all their friends during cocktail hour. The Homestead’s big barn doors were swung open as guests wandering back and forth between the yard games and the dance floor. This bride and groom were no strangers to showing off their own dance moves and kept the party going for hours. Before long, the couple said goodnight to their family and friends and made their way through bubbles to their getaway car. To Rachel and Scott, your friendship and love are inspiring and you are so easy to celebrate. I can’t wait to see what comes next in your big adventure!
A huge thank you to the team of vendors who made this day possible!
